October 24, 1-2PM: Grinnell Bookies Book Club. Beloit Public Library. Discuss the book with other senior citizens while enjoying refreshments at the Grinnell Hall Senior Center.

October 25, 7-9PM: Fourth Wednesday Book Club. Beloit Public Library. Discuss the book with other adults while enjoying refreshments.

November 11, 12PM: “Earth Justice from an Ojibwe Perspective.” Clinton Public Library. Come enjoy this presentation by Mark Welsh, from the Native American Indian Center of Central Ohio.

November 11, 1-4PM: Faces of the World. Hedberg Public Library. Come see the Seven Springs All Nation Drum and other great performances at the Janesville Performing Arts Center.

November 16, 6:30-8PM: Reading on the Rock Book Club. Hedberg Public Library. Meets in the Public Meeting Room.  No registration required.


January 16, 10:30AM: CRRC Book Discussion. Eager Free Public Library. Join us for a great discussion!

January 18, 6:30PM: Community Book Bunch. Edgerton Public Library. The Community Book Bunch meets at an area restaurant for a lively discussion on a featured book.  All who have read the book are welcome to join!  The January meeting location will be the Lakeview Bar & Grill in Milton.

January 27, 6-9PM: Moonlight Hike. Ice Age Trail Coalition. Meet us at Storr’s Lake in Milton for a hike along part of the Ice Age Trail.

February 27, 6-7:30PM: “Starting Seeds for Your Garden.” Hedberg Public Library. Starting seeds for your garden is less expensive than buying nursery grown sets and often gives you more choices.  It’s also easy and highly rewarding! This class, lead by a team of volunteer Master Gardeners, will teach you the fine points of starting seeds at home. Participants will also have the opportunity to create starter kits they can take home.

February 28, 1:30PM: CRRC Book Discussion. Clinton Public Library. Come to the library for an energizing book discuss about this year’s CRRC book selection, “Seventh Generation Earth Ethics.”


April 2018, TBD: Teen Book Club & Nature ActivityHedberg Public Library. Discuss books and engage in a nature activity related to the CRRC theme.

April 10, 6PM: A Conversation with Patty Loew. Hedberg Public Library. Join us for the capstone event for this year’s Read! Author Patty Loew will visit for s presentation about the book followed by a Q&A.

May 12, 10AM-12PM: Natural and Native History of Magnolia BluffRock County Parks and Rock County Conservationists. Find and identify local flora and fauna, look for birds and other wildlife, and discuss the native and natural history of Magnolia Bluff County Park.
